This body of work explores the tension between myth and everyday reality. The paintings often begin with ordinary scenes and experiences, but represent them in ways that evoke other memories and cultural structures—sometimes pointing toward a specific myth, and sometimes remaining open to interpretation. The divergent perspectives allow several readings to coexist and enable the painting to be experienced from different orientations, while the staining and dispersal of raw pigment destabilize the boundaries of the depicted world. In this way, the paintings attempt to make the familiar appear strange, allowing latent or forgotten cultural meanings to emerge within everyday experience.

המתח בין מיתוסים תרבותיים למציאות היומיומית הגיע לנקודת רתיחה. בעולם הטובע בחידושים מדעיים בלתי פוסקים, אשר הינם מעבר להבנתם של רוב בני האדם, ובשגשוגם של של מידע (או מידע מוטעה), צרכנות, ומשפיעני/יות מדיה חברתית, אנשים שבים למבני כוח ולמערכות אמונה ישנים ומוכרים על מנת לייצב את תחושת המשמעות והזהות האישית והקבוצתית שלהם.
גוף עבודות זה בוחן את המתח בין מיתוס למציאות על ידי ייצוג מציאות ובו בזמן רמז על מבני זיכרון אחרים. הסדרה משתמשת בפרספקטיבות מגוונות המאפשרות לשלב כמה נקודות ראיה וגם לאפשר כמה כוונים לצפיה. כתמי הצבע תורמים על מנת לערער את התיחום הברור והמטעה של המציאות, מתוך מטרה לעורר היזכרות במבנים תרבותיים שנשכחו. |
