This painting in inspired by Haruki Murakami's novels in which the hero undergoes a frightening ordeal in order to emerge with some hope. It reminded me of the story of Joseph from the book of Genesis. The ray of color at the top allows for a separation of perspectives while the patterning unites and unifies the surface and imagery.

ציור זה הוא בהשראת ספריו של הסופר היפני הרוקי מורקמי שבהם הגיבור עובר נסיון מפחיד כדי להחלץ עם מעט תקווה. ספרים אלו הזכירו לי את הסיפור התנ"כי של יוסף. קרן האור הצבעונית בחלק העליון מאפשרת להפריד זויות ראיה בעוד הדגמיות מאחדת את הכל ואינה מאפשרת יחודיות.‏
